Synplant Patch Roundup

There are a lot of excellent cheap and free Synplant patches floating around cyberspace. The latest addition is the gorgeous Absynplant package from http://absoundscapes.blogspot.com

I actually got so inspired when hearing the patches that I had to hit record in my host and post the result (basically unedited) to SoundCloud. Check it out:

Rekkerd has collected no less than five completely free Synplant sound sets on this page. If you own Synplant you have absolutely no reason not to download these.

Synplantation Vol 1 is a set of 32 patches for $5 from TeamDNR. Do check out the lovely demo tracks on the page.

Simon Stockhausen has published 22 abstract patches ("donationware") on his new patch-site http://www.patchpool.de (I'm reading your minds here and the answer is: yes he is related to that other Stockhausen, if you didn't know already).

Last but not least Voltage Disciple has published a $10 AUD (around $8 USD) bank of warm analogue sounding patches. Lots of nice basses here. You will find a demo track on the page. (I adore the 808 State reminiscent strings last in that track.)

Big thanks to everyone involved in creating the packages above! It is very rewarding to rediscover the potential of our plug-ins through new patches. If you create or stumble upon some packages that I haven't mentioned, please send us a note and let us know.

Glad midsommar (as we say in this part of the world today)

Is there any way to get the patches from absoundscapes.blogspot.com? They seem to have disappeared from the net.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Thanks for these links - I found the patches a month before next Midsommar^^ (and hope to be able to be in Sweden sometimes soon during a Midsommar).

And yes, Simon is not only related to "the other Stockhausen" - he also makes superb sounds for many synths. Plus he doesn't talk fragile-ego-nonsense like "the other" after 9/11 did. He blurbed about "this grand in-scening" and well, the stuff fragile egos usually talk if they are in "bombastic mood" (wishing to create some such "grand in-scening" themselves, with their music of course). Took a legion of cultural feuilletonists to get him back to the throne he thinks he sits on.

So I sometimes buy patches from Simon Stockhausen and prefer him over the "other Stockhausen".
