Microtonic control surface suggestion?

As someone who's primarily a hardware synth player, I love Microtonic's approach to creating sound, but I miss the physical feel of tweaking all the parameters. I don't currently own a MIDI controller capable of doing this kind of thing, so I'm looking for suggestions for a control surface that works well with Microtonic's features. In particular, something with plenty of mappable knobs and faders would be great, so that I can adjust cutoff frequencies, EQ gain, oscillator mix, etc. without reaching for the mouse. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    cheers,
    Patia

(PS - my sister bought me the Microtonic license for xmas...hence why it's registered in her name, not mine :)
